  • Tuesday september 11th 8:45 am new york time: plane careened into the world trade center’s south tower.
  • 8:52 a.m. http://www.wtccrash.com- registered. worldtradecentercrash.com had already been taken.
  • wtccrash.org and wtcplanecrash were soon to follow.
  • 9:03 a.m. second tower crash
  • 9:05 a.m. tradecentercrashes and wtccrashes.com nabbed- just to name a few.
  • 9:43 a.m. pentagon hit. Pentagonattach, petagondisaster snapped up. Petagongone.com still available.
  • 10:00 a.m. south tower collapses and wtctowercollapse.com registered.
  • Oops, typed too soon- 23 minutes later second tower comes down- tradetowerscollapse.com registered while smoke, dust and debris are still in the air.
  • Whew, time to reflect. Over the next couple hours wtcsaga, nycdisaster both taken.
  • then the word bin-laden seeped out into the air waves
  • Suddenly getosama.com, killbinladen.com, us-afghanwar.com and the ‘culturally sensitive’ nukeafghanistan.net all taken.
  • But don’t worry, for you budding entrepreneurs- attackonamerica, pentagonattack and wtcplanecrash.com are all for sale to the highest bidder.
  • But you snoozed and loozed if you were thinking of nabbing gotohell-osamabinladen.com, or hemustpay.com, even nukepakistan is already gone.
  • Don’t even think of trying to mustard up a combination that vaguely resembles worldwar3.org or com or net, They were all snapped up in minutes after Mr. Bush said the word war.
  • However I do believe that CNN may be reclaiming all the WW3 dot coms due to copyright infringement, but that’s just a rumour.
  • Shithitthefan.com gone
  • However tragedyforsale, calamity, disaster, catastrophy and dramaforsale.com are all available.
  • Ilovecapitalism.com is gone
  • Americaforsale.com, net and org are bought
  • However, keep your eyes out for this hot site: capitalismisfucked.ca coming soon to a monitor near you!

This poem was written around September 30th 2002 after reading an article about domain names that were registered minutes and seconds after the first plane crash. With shock and horror I researched what other domain names were taken and available. At the time of writing all of the above site information was, believe it or not, factual. Today many of them remain registered.
